Clementine is a robotic geometric display typeface inspired by the grungy and mechanical aesthetic of the video game Stray.
The concept behind the project was to create a custom typeface inspired by a certain theme.
Inspired by the game's own custom typeface, I created this full alphabet that reflects the robotic and mechanical themes.

The name Clementine was inspired by one of my favourite characters in Stray, the robot fugitive, Clementine.

I was able to create an intricate kit of parts along with some rules in order to keep the type consistent, such as keeping all of the edges of the strokes at the same roundness, and the gaps between the strokes to be either half the width or the same width as the strokes (depending on the letter).
I later elevated this into advertising campaign for a fictional adventure video game called FutureFront, with imagery and aesthetic inspired by the robotic themes of the game that inspired the typeface.
These posters were created to showcase the typeface in a realistic scenario, but I have also included some smaller details, such as one of the logos being BlueTwelve Studio, the creators of Stray (hope they don't mind).

Following this theme, the images used for the posters and the type specimen were created by an AI.
