Tempo is a music magazine featuring an issue revolving around punk music.
My take on this was to use the theme of duality, where punk artists have the the rebellious and energetic side that they show in their music, but they may have a calmer side to them in private. I visualised this with ripped paper, where one side has normal imagery of the punk artists, but the other side of the image is edited, implying that they have 2 sides.
While the ripped paper is able to convey the messy and raw aesthetic of punk music, I have also used other graphic elements to create a grimy and loud style, such as using ink splashes and manipulating text to appear handwritten and untidy.
